The Krvavec Bike Park has no fewer than 27 km of marked cycling trails and downhill runs for all tastes and levels of cycling skills. Ride down 16 km of gravity-defying trails that are suitable for beginners, cyclists with advanced skills, and pros, who just want to spend an exciting day on their bike. At the same time, the park offers the greatest altitude difference in downhill runs among the bike parks in Slovenia.

Vršič – counting switchbacks, cottages and sights

Lying at 1,611 m ASL, Vršič is the highest mountain road pass in the eastern Julian Alps. It is one of the most challenging routes for cyclists and a starting point for ascending the nearby peaks. Several mountain huts provide spots where you can rest up along the mountain road from Kranjska Gora to Soča Valley. The path will take you past Lake Jasna, the Russian Chapel, a natural window in the walls of the Prisojnik mountain and the Heathen Maiden (Ajdovska Deklica) in the wall of Prisank.

For example, you can take a ride to Lake Vonarje on the popular cycling trail between Rogaška Slatina and Podčetrtek.

Podčetrtek boasts over 35 km of cycling routes that are perfect for discerning cyclists and families alike. From Terme Olimia, where cycling equipment can be borrowed, set out on a round trip across the landscape rich with natural and cultural heritage.  You can also cycle along the well-kept route connecting Podčetrtek with the neighbouring Rogaška Slatina.

Biking around Dolenjska

Experience a unique feeling of freedom on a cycling adventure called Sava Krka Bike. Enjoy the light breeze from the gentle wine-growing hills between Šmarješke Toplice and Dolenjske Toplice. Ride your bike on trails in the shade of indigenous tree species in the surrounding area of Otočec Castle, which will take you all the way to Struga Castle.

Head to the heart of the Haloze Hills on foot or by bicycle

Walking or cycling on the gentle hills of Haloze on the right bank of the River Drava is a special experience, as travellers can only rarely have such a broad selection of trails. These trails take you amongst small hills and valleys and provide you with exquisite panoramic views of landscape covered in vineyards, old orchards, and forests. If you wish to experience a truly wonderful view of the Haloze Hills, Ptuj, and the Pohorje Hills, climb up to the Church of St Anna.
