Green facts
Slovenia writes a green story. Feel it at every step.
Nature bestowed Koroška with forests, as almost 70 % of the Koroška territory is covered by forests.
In Koroška, you will find Najevnik Linden, “the mother of all Slovenian linden trees” and the Sgerm Spruce, the tallest tree in Central Europe.
Kvočevi nudlni
Carinthian people always liked to eat “nudlni” among the mealy dishes, known as “štruklji”, “krapci” or “žlikrofi” in other parts of Slovenia. “Kvočevi” or “kločevi nudlni” got their name after the filling made from dried pears. Seasoned with “grumpi” (greaves), they can be made as a side dish to go with meat, and for those with more of a sweet tooth, they can be prepared with roasted breadcrumbs, sugar and cinnamon.
Koroška. A treasure trove of surprises.
A hidden treasure of nature, where you can withdraw from the urban hustle and bustle into the tranquillity of the forests of Koroška and Alpine valleys and experience with all your senses the genuine tiny valuables formed by nature and man.
