My way of hiking in nature

Slovenia is a land with thousands of trails inviting you to experience active adventures. Hiking and mountaineering hold a special place in the hearts of Slovenians. More than 10,000 kilometres of marked and maintained trails of various levels of difficulty await you. While hiking on these, you can find almost 180 mountain huts and shelters in which to stop and rest. Some of these trails, especially in the high mountains, are only suitable for experienced Alpine climbers and mountaineers who are well physically prepared and have the right equipment or are accompanied by mountain guides.

Safety first

There is a saying in Slovenia, i.e. “The mountains are not crazy, but those who climb them are.” Therefore, it is very important to ensure your own safety when going into the mountains. Use the appropriate equipment, check the weather and snow conditions and choose trails that suit your physical condition. If this is your first time going into the mountains, it’s recommended that you are accompanied by a mountain guide.
