Relaxation by a pond of green experiences

Relax your mind by fishing in the pond in Lokovina. The pond lies near Novi grad (new castle) from the 18th century and you can also see the ruins of Snake Castle. The pleasant green surroundings offer the possibility of having various celebrations in nature. You can go to the pond from the centre of Dobrna on foot or by bicycle.

Kneipp's spring of health

Have a spoonful of health by Kneipp’s principles. In Dobrna, you can get to know them very well through various herbal baths, massage, eating healthy dishes from local ingredients and physical activities in nature. In the heart of the surrounding forests, near the Ledenica cave, you can also find Kneipp's spring of health – springs of clear spring water used for kneipping. 

In the footsteps of the past

Climb to the ruins of Snake Castle which still stir the imagination and where you will find a beautiful view of the surrounding landscape. Not far from the castle, you can go to the Valley of Mills, which were quite common along the streams of the Paški Kozjak hills in the past. The spirit of the past will also accompany you when looking at the collections of the cultural heritage house and at the Šumej and Blažiš homesteads.

Make a pilgrimage from one church to another

Beautiful small churches sitting on the hills around Dobrna invite you to visit them. Above the centre of Dobrna rises the Church of the Assumption of Mary. You can visit the Church of Saint Nicholas which is the most beautiful cultural and artistic monument around Dobrna. You can also find spiritual consolation in the idyllic country church of St Jošt below the top of the Paški Kozjak hills.

Recreation in the sports park and in nature

Would you like to play volleyball, tennis or badminton while on vacation in Dobrna? Visit the sport park, where you will find courts for these sports and even a boules court. You can have a game of table tennis or rent bicycles. You can also workout on a trim trail running through the forest above the Spa Park.

Take a bike trip

Discover the world under Paški Kozjak by bicycle. Five marked cycling trails of different lengths and difficulties will lead you past the natural and cultural heritage of Dobrna and its surroundings. If you do not have your bicycle with you, do not worry; you can rent one at the Terme Dobrna Spa, at the Tourist Information Centre and at some other locations around Dobrna.

The Terme Dobrna Spa offers fun for all generations. While you take care of your health and well-being, your children can have fun at various workshops and activities provided by their mini club. Together you can paddle in the water, explore the surroundings or visit some of the tourist farms.

Gastronomic weekend in the country

Visit the Lamperček farm which is famous for home-made delicacies with game meat. Visit the hunting and ethnological collection and the children can learn more about deer, fallow deer and mouflons. At the Minka tourist farm, you will be welcomed by a donkey called Rajko and you will be served home-made dried meat products as well as a wide range of aperitifs. You can also have a picnic on an organised spot at the Marovšek homestead.
