A Tour of Slovenia
Watch the biggest cycling event in Slovenia! This year’s Tour of Slovenia will take place between 19 and 23 June and will be the 26th in a row. In a quarter of a century it has become a well-known event on the international cycling scene and represents a top-level sporting event that attracts some of the most famous names in the world of cycling every year. Join the growing number of spectators who cheer along the route as well as keep an eye on the tour across the picturesque landscape of Slovenia through media coverage. This year, the cycling race on the roads of Slovenia will again be broadcast by the global television sports network Eurosport. The slogan of the Tour of Slovenia is “Fight for green” which reflects the orientation of the competition towards sustainability.
Ironman 70.3 Slovenia
Test the limits of your strength and take part in the toughest iron challenge on Slovenian coast. In September, the participants of the Ironman endurance challenge and their supporters will be hosted by the four coastal towns Koper, Izola, Piran and Ankaran with each offering a unique Mediterranean experience. The race will start with a jump into the blue Adriatic Sea. The cycling part of the race will pass through the idyllic landscape and picturesque villages of inland Istria while the running part will pass through ancient coastal towns.
Take part in a cycling challenge
In addition to the competitions for professional cyclists there are also plenty of recreational events and cycling festivals with various events for all generations.
Push the pedals at the most visited cycling event for recreational cyclists. The event with the longest tradition in Slovenia got its name from the Franja Partisan Hospital. The most passionate cyclists will tackle a 156-kilometre route. Special routes are intended for families and those who want to explore the Ljubljana Marshes by bikes.More
Poli Marathon in Ptuj
