One foot in the city and the other on ski slopes
Did you know that Maribor is the only major city in Slovenia with its own ski centre? The city bus will take you to the gondola, which will take you up the mountain to enjoy some skiing fun. The Maribor Pohorje Hills or Mariborsko Pohorje provides great skiing fun just above the city, especially in the evening when it’s illuminated, as it has the longest night slope in Slovenia. Once you’ve warmed up on your skis (Alpine or cross-country), snowboards, or sledges, you can enjoy some ‘apres ski’ fun or relax at a nearby wellness centre of the Terme Maribor Spa.
