Slovenia is a country of small ski resorts which offer a pleasant and homely atmosphere. The diverse terrain is suitable for beginners and children as well as experienced skiers. Obtain a single SkiPass ticket with which you can ski at all Slovenian ski resorts. Numerous ski schools and ski instructors, who speak different languages, will make sure that you really enjoy the snow. After skiing, take a walk around town, since most of the ski resorts are close to major towns.

Slovenian ski resorts in figures

Slovenia is full of ski resorts of all sizes. There are four large ski resorts with more than 10 ski lifts, several medium-sized ski resorts with 2-10 ski lifts, and smaller ski resorts with a maximum of two ski lifts. Mountain centres are mostly active all year round, so they also offer sports activities outside the winter season.

Which ski resorts have new features in store for you?

Many Slovenian ski centres are entering the new ski season with new equipment and other improvements. We are entering the 2023/2024 winter season with eleven new ski lifts, including three new six-person chairlifts, six four-person chairlifts, a drag lift, a circular cable car and numerous other modernisations:

❄️At Kope you can ride the new four-person chairlifts to the top of the Kopnik and Peharnik slopes, and there is also a new modern lift on the Velika Kopa slope.
❄️At Golte, the old Smrekovec chairlift and the Stari Stani lift have been replaced by two modern 4-person chairlifts, and the sale of ski passes has been digitised.
❄️At Krvavec you can take a ride in the new Zvoh six-person chairlift with heated seats and protective cabins.
❄️The new Ruška four-person chairlift awaits you at Mariborsko Pohorje, and an intermediate station of the circular cable car has also been built.
❄️At Vogel, you can take the panoramic circular cable car to the top of the Zadnji Vogel and enjoy the views of the surrounding peaks of the Julian Alps in a cosy shelter.
❄️At Rogla, the new Mašinžaga six-person chairlift with heated seats and protective cabins will take you to skiing fun. A new feature at Rogla is the adrenaline “Flying Slide”.
❄️At Velika planina the Šimnovec double chairlift will be replaced with a new six-person chairlift.
❄️At Trije kralji ski resort, this year’s winter season will introduce a new four-person chairlift, replacing the Veliki vrh T-bar.
❄️The Cerkno Ski Resort is starting this season with many new features and modernisations. The Brdo and Davča four-person chairlifts and the Lom six-person chairlift were upgraded. The resort also invested in an energy-efficient snow gun.
