A special motorail train operates between Bohinjska Bistrica and Most na Soči onto which you drive your car, thereby enjoying the journey in your own "private railcar". You will travel through 28 tunnels, five galleries and over 65 bridges and admire the scenic hilly landscape of the Bača Gorge and the lower section of the Soča River Valley.

Litija Goblin Experience

Litija, once a mining town, is located on the railway line between Ljubljana and Maribor. If you’re looking for adventure away from the crowds, we recommend hopping on a train and taking a trip to this town in the Zasavje region. The train ride takes half an hour, which is about the same amount of time it takes to walk through the town to the Sitarjevec mine. Sitarjevec is home to a mischievous goblin who will show you the mine's priceless treasures – the fastest growing dripstones and colourful minerals.

Travel by train and fly like a bird

Unusual as it may sound, you can combine the two in Slovenia. Take the train to Logatec and look for Aerodium, a wind tunnel where you can defy gravity for a few minutes. Trains from Ljubljana run several times a day, so you're sure to catch the right time to turn into a bird. And if you come by train, you'll fly cheaper.
