Summer Museum Night

One night in the middle of the summer, Slovenian museums, galleries, and other cultural institutions open their doors wide to visitors. The Summer Museum Night is intended for this very purpose – to bring the rich collections of Slovenian cultural heritage closer to visitors. During this time, tours of collections, exhibition openings, workshops for children and families, presentations, projections, conversations, concerts, and even fashion shows and tastings are held.

International Wild Flower Festival

Are you attracted to the scent of a blooming mountain meadow? Then you cannot miss the International Wild Flower Festival in Bohinj. At the end of May and the beginning of June, you can go on a guided tour with experts and learn about the wealth of wild flowers in the mountain meadows of Bohinj. History Weekend

Every year on the third weekend in September, the Park of Military History in Pivka hosts its annual History Weekend. This multi-day event offers an extended museum programme with a variety of exciting activities. Visitors can enjoy a dynamic presentation from the Slovenian Army and Police, even going for a ride in armoured vehicles, which culminates with a demonstration of what the armoured vehicles from the museum’s operational collection can do.

Drava Festival

Festival of Shopping and Fun

In addition to visiting the attractive Ljubljana city centre, you can also visit BTC City, which is one of the largest business, shopping, recreational, wellness, and entertainment centres in Europe.
