Ingredients:

Leavened dough

500 g flour, half coarse-grained (hard), half soft flour

30 g yeast

10 g salt

1 tbsp sugar

1-2 eggs

40 g butter

250 ml milk

 

Filling

1 kg skuta (cottage) curd cheese

200 ml sour cream

2 eggs

150 g sugar

80 g steamed wheat meal

cinnamon

 

Topping

200 ml sour cream

2 eggs

 

Preparation

Use the ingredients for the leavened dough to mix and knead a dough with medium softness and let it rise. Once it has risen, roll it out and place it in a greased round earthenware mould or baking pan. Fill it with skuta curd cheese filling, pour over the cream topping, and bake it. Serve the layer cake (gibanica) still warm.
