The 27th edition of the Tour of Slovenia starts today – live broadcast on Eurosport!
With world-class partners and under the “Fight for green” slogan, the Tour of Slovenia is gaining new momentum and is – aside from being a top cycling event – becoming also one of the main events that internationally promote Slovenia as a five-star destination for active holidays.
Today, the 27th edition of the Tour of Slovenia cycling race starts in Ptuj. Yesterday, a press conference was held there, at the Dominican Monastery. It was attended by top cyclists Tadej Pogačar, Matej Mohorič and Diego Ulissi, along with representatives of the organizers and the Slovenian Tourist Board (STB). In partnership with Adria Mobil, the STB leased advertising space on the global television network Eurosport this year as well, which significantly contributes to greater recognition and reputation of Slovenia as an excellent destination for active experiences and a country of top cyclists. The race places special emphasis on sustainability, which strengthens Slovenia's reputation as a sustainable destination.
After 26 successful performances, the Tour of Slovenia cycling race is considered a top sporting event that every year hosts the most famous cycling names and attracts millions of spectators and also the most influential global sports media. In four years since the race is broadcast on Eurosport, the race, which is an excellent opportunity to promote Slovenia as a green, active and healthy destination, has reached as many as 35 million spectators.
Thanks to the partnership between the STB, Adria Mobil and 31 tourist destinations – 10 of them are the starting and finishing locations and 21 other points of interest – Slovenia is also showcased on the first and second Eurosport TV channels with 210 30-second advertisements. In four years, since the race is broadcast live on Eurosport, the STB has made an important contribution to increasing the visibility and promotion of Slovenia as an excellent active destination.

Tadej Pogačar is also taking part in the Tour of Slovenia this year, wishing to win the race: “Two months ago, we have decided to participate in the race. It is a pleasure for me to race in Slovenia, I hope that there will be a lot of Slovenian fans along the track.”
