MOUNTAIN TRIPS AND WATER ACTIVITIES
The Alpine Association of Slovenia, which oversees the network of hiking trails throughout Slovenia, collects data about the condition of the trails and closes damaged sections. In doing so, they urge hikers not to venture to the most critical areas. When planning a mountain trip, choose destinations in other parts of Slovenia and do not forget the advice for safe mountain visits.
Mountain huts are open and operating according to their schedule in most parts of Slovenia. You can find the schedule on the huts' websites (link to the website – you can find it below in the links about closed hiking trails and recommendations).
The most critical conditions are in the Upper Savinja Valley and Carinthia, where most of the hiking trails are closed. A significant portion of the Škofja Loka and Polhov Gradec hills, as well as the Kamnik-Bistrica area, are also affected, so we discourage visits to these areas.
When engaging in water activities such as kayaking, rafting, and stand-up paddleboarding, we recommend opting for experienced local guides who can judge when it's an appropriate time for such experiences.

Due to the high wetness of the soil, the likelihood of landslides throughout the country remains high.

Especially in areas affected by floods, some tourist, cultural, sports, and other events have been canceled or rescheduled. Stay updated with the organisers' announcements.
DRINKING WATER, FOOD SAFETY MEASURES
Due to the flooding, drinking water may be contaminated in some areas. It is advisable to boil water before consumption. Additionally, exercise restraint in your water usage. Do not eat food that has come in contact with floodwaters. Throw away food that has come in contact with floodwaters. Do not eat food from flooded gardens or fields.
