Cook Eat Slovenia – a new cookbook on traditional Slovenian food
A cookbook that brings traditional Slovenian recipes and family stories straight to your kitchen and reveals some of the best foodie spots in Slovenia.

Cook Eat Slovenia is a brand new cookbook is written by an enthusiastic Slovenian, Špela Vodovc, who also runs culinary oriented tours and workshops. Her story started four years ago, when she started with the cooking classes. Her dream was to present traditional Slovenian food to travelers and creating an experience that they would treasure for a lifetime. Over the course of years, she has hosted hundreds of happy foodies from around the world. Now, she wants to upgrade this experience by creating a book with traditional Slovenian recipes. In this way, she will bring traditional Slovenian ecipes to the world and help the world get to know the Slovenian food.
Gastronomy is considered one of the key development and promotional projects of the Slovenian Tourist Board. Renowned media from around the world praises the country as a hidden gem, as a rising star among the foodie destinations. Such projects increase the visibility of the Slovenian cuisine and are thus highly appreciated.
Let us recall: on 8 October, Slovenia was awarded the official title of the European Region of Gastronomy (ERG) 2021. This title is a great opportunity to promote Slovenia as a globally recognised gastronomic destination for boutique 5-star experiences focused on sustainability.
