Whether you enjoy walking well-trodden paths or prefer to turn off the beaten track, you will find stunning beauty and boutique experiences tailored just for you everywhere you go.

We are ready to offer you the best we have. With a great deal of responsibility, your visit to Slovenia will be enjoyable and unforgettable.

This year SIW goes live in a NEW re-designed edition: 1-1 meetings will take place in the embrace of nature where study tours will pass through. You will be able to join 2 different study tours, one on Monday and one on Tuesday. This way, you can get to know two different parts of Slovenia in just one visit.

SIW THEMATIC STUDY TOURS on Monday, 30th May:

1. Alpine Slovenia. My Way of Diverse Experiences.

  • Bled, the only natural island in Slovenia
  • Bohinj, the oasis of peace and pristine nature

 

Our first stop will be Bled, one of the most beautiful Alpine resorts in Europe. Lake Bled and its surroundings invite you to experience unforgettable adventures. We will head to the beautiful Bled Castle, the oldest castle in Slovenia, explore Bled Island and its surroundings. In the second part of the day, we will head to the nearby Bohinj, a paradise valley embraced by the Julian Alps. Tasty lunch, meetings with Slovenian partners, and an afternoon full of interesting ideas, new experiences, and great memories. Will you find all the pieces of our Alpine puzzle? In the evening we will return to Ljubljana. 

2. Ljubljana and Central Slovenia. My Way of Exploring Slovenia. - FULLY BOOKED

  • Arboretum Volčji potok, the most visited botanic garden in Slovenia


Not far from the capital Ljubljana, Brdo Estate delivers the most beautiful experiences in the embrace of nature. It covers almost 500 hectares of fenced estate, where the highest representatives of the Republic of Slovenia host top-level state officials during protocol visits. We will visit the brand new Elegans hotel Brdo, discover the undisturbed nature, explore exquisite boutique locations and taste the finest cuisine. In the afternoon we will head to Arboretum Volčji potok, the spacious landscape park with gravel paths that offers the possibility of taking long walks and peaceful rest in tranquillity and greenery. We will also meet with Slovenian partners, exchange new ideas and enjoy a relaxing and fun late afternoon, filled with roses, scents and lively colors. In the evening we will return to Ljubljana.

 

 

 

3. Thermal Pannonian Slovenia. My Way of Wellbeing.

  • Celje, the town of princes with rich archaeological treasures, a modern urban vibe, and a green soul
  • Rimske terme, Business Wellness Spa Resort and a pearl in an intact oasis of nature


City of the Counts, Celje, features a hidden history treasure trove including the ancient Celeia and the exciting Middle Ages. For more than half a millennium, the town has been marked by three stars, the symbol of the Counts of Celje, the most powerful noble and ruler family who has ever lived in Slovenia. Their story reads itself as a plot of a heroic movie filled with duels, daring actions, and intrigue. We will relive the past and feel the power and glory, that the Counts of Celje once enjoyed. From Celje we will head to Rimske terme, where history and modernity meet, and where Romans built hot-water and cold-water pools in 39 A.D. already. First a delicious lunch, then we will meet with Slovenian partners and in the afternoon focus on our health and wellbeing. In the evening we will return to Ljubljana.

 

 

4. The Mediterranean and Karst Slovenia. My Way of Taking it Easy.  - FULLY BOOKED

  • Postojna Cave, the only Karst cave with a railway
  • Vipava Valley and Zemono Manor, the land of unique vines and first-rate cuisine between the Alps and the Adriatic Sea


Postojna Cave is one of the most visited Karst caves in Europe and home to the largest cave animal in the world — the proteus. Did you know, that proteus lives up to 100 years and can go without food for up to 10 years? We will start our day by descending into the world of underground wonders and stunning natural phenomena. From Karst we will continue our journey to the sunny Vipava Valley and Zemono Renaissance Manor, which is home to Gostilna Pri Lojzetu and is an astonishing backdrop for the culinary creations of Chef Tomaž Kavčič. We will treat ourselves to a delicious lunch, then greet Slovenian partners and explore new opportunities and future adventures in Slovenia. Later we will enjoy the local hospitality, learn all about Slovenian excellent wine and relax amidst the greenery. In the evening we will return to Ljubljana.

 

 

SIW THEMATIC STUDY TOURS on Tuesday, 31st May:

1. Alpine Slovenia. My Way of Springtime Wandering. - FULLY BOOKED

  • Upper Savinja Valley, an idyllic valley with an incredible natural backdrop where time stands still
  • Logar Valley, one of the most beautiful Alpine glacial valleys in Europe


This tour will take us to the Upper Savinja Valley and Logar Valley with the crystal-clear green river Savinja. If you’d like to escape the urban hustle and bustle, the Upper Savinja Valley is an ideal destination for your getaway. You can explore authentic green nature under the mighty amphitheater of the two-thousand-meter high peaks of the Kamnik and Savinja Alps in numerous ways or you can simply find your own oasis of peace and focus on yourself. In the afternoon we will join Slovenian partners for meetings in green surroundings. And later we will enjoy the calmness and fresh air, admire the pristine green nature and get our daily dose of adrenaline - all in one place. In the evening we will return to Ljubljana.

 

 

2. Ljubljana and Central Slovenia. My Way of Roaming Around Town.

  • Velika planina, one of Slovenia’s most beautiful mountain pastures
  • Ljubljana, a city that combines the charm of a small capital and the confidence of big European cities


High mountains, the views and a relaxing environment in the traditional herder’s settlement - this is Velika planina. We will visit the easily accessible plateau, which offers magnificent views of the highest peaks of the Kamnik-Savinja Alps and the Ljubljana Basin. In the afternoon we will return to Ljubljana, whose name sounds like beloved in Slovenian (Ljubljana–ljubljena). First a tasty culinary experience, and later we will meet with Slovenian partners to exchange new visions and ideas. We will finish off with a glass of noble drop and a toast to new friends. The perfect way to end the day in Slovenia's capital.

3. Thermal Pannonian Slovenia. My Way of Absolute Serenity.

  • Goričkothe world of unique water sources and dreamy romance along the River Mura
  • Mariborhome of the Old Vine 


In the morning we will head to the Eastern part of Slovenia, first to Goričko. We will explore the region in the most original, boutique, local and authentic way. The big-hearted locals will surely impress you with their hospitality. For lunch, we will head to Maribor, Slovenia's second-largest city which will impress you with green Pohorje mountains, excellent wine, and exquisite cuisine. We will meet with Slovenian partners and enjoy the afternoon together in the good company of friendly locals and rich culture. In the evening we will return to Ljubljana.

4. The Mediterranean and Karst Slovenia. My Way of Making Friends. - FULLY BOOKED

  • Slovenian Coast, from the cosmopolitan promenades to the romantic streets enshrined in the rich history


We will spend our day on the Slovenian Coast, where you will enjoy different, unique, and special experiences, with the scent of salt. Have you ever been on a Vintage Gourmet Tour along the Slovenian Coast? Do you dare to take up a challenge and venture into an exciting city quest? We will also meet with Slovenian partners and in the afternoon discover different activities and new adventures. In the evening we will return to Ljubljana.
