Whether you enjoy walking well-trodden paths or prefer to turn off the beaten track, you will find stunning beauty and boutique experiences tailored just for you everywhere you go.

We are ready to offer you the best we have. With a great deal of responsibility, your visit to Slovenia will be enjoyable and unforgettable.

This year SIW goes live in a NEW re-designed edition: 1-1 meetings will take place in the embrace of nature where study tours will pass through. You will be able to join 2 different study tours, one on Monday and one on Tuesday. This way, you can get to know two different parts of Slovenia in just one visit.

SIW THEMATIC STUDY TOURS on Monday, 13th September:

1. Alpine Slovenia. My Way of Building Up Fresh Energy. (Fully booked)

  • Kranjska Gora, from countless adventures to peaceful discovering of nature
  • Bled, the green pearl of the Slovenian Alps


Our first stop will be in Kranjska Gora, a world-class ski center nestled in the Julian Alps at the triple border point of Slovenia, Italy, and Austria. Kranjska Gora is a destination with countless options for spending an active getaway in the great outdoors. Whether you decide on cycling, hiking, stand-up paddling, yoga, zipline... in Kranjska Gora you will never be bored. In the second part of the day, we will head to Bled, the only natural island in Slovenia. Tasty lunch, meetings with Slovenian partners, and an afternoon full of interesting ideas, new experiences, and great memories. In the evening we will return to Ljubljana.

2. Ljubljana and Central Slovenia. My Way of Rambling Around.

  • Kočevje, truly mystical forest landscape
  • Bela krajina, a melting pot of cultures in the very south of Slovenia


Together with the Krokar primeval forest, which is inscribed in the UNESCO World Heritage List, the Kočevje Region makes for a truly mystical forest landscape. Europe's most self-sustaining forest habitat is known as bear country. We will discover this wonderful natural habitat of bears and learn to listen to the silence in a place that no Wi-Fi signal can reach.  In the afternoon we will head to Bela krajina, which amazes with quirky folklore, handicrafts, wine, and excellent dishes. We will also meet with Slovenian partners, exchange new ideas and enjoy a relaxing and fun late afternoon. In the evening we will return to Ljubljana.

3. Thermal Pannonian Slovenia. My Way of Inner Peace.

  • Ptuj, one of Slovenia's oldest towns
  • Rogaška Slatina, health resort with 400 years of tradition


Ptuj is a surprise of the northeastern part of Slovenia. A walk through the city will take you past ancient Roman monuments and magnificent medieval facades. Cobbled streets and squares will lead you to one of the most majestic castles in Slovenia that offers a view over the roof tiles of medieval monasteries, churches, and other buildings. Ptuj is also a town of artists, musicians and the Kurenti mask, a traditional carnival figure which has also been recognized by UNESCO. From Ptuj we will head to Rogaška Slatina, home of the unique mineral water Donat Mg. First a delicious lunch, then we will meet with Slovenian partners and in the afternoon focus on our health and wellbeing. In the evening we will return to Ljubljana.

4. The Mediterranean and Karst Slovenia. My Way of Getting Inspired.

  • Postojna Cave, the only Karst cave with a railway
  • Goriška Brda, sun-kissed wine country between the Alps and the Mediterranean


Postojna Cave is one of the most visited Karst caves in Europe and home to the largest cave animal in the world — the proteus. Did you know, that proteus lives up to 100 years and can go without food for up to 10 years? We will start our day by descending into the world of underground wonders and stunning natural phenomena. From Karst we will continue our journey to the sunny and sweet Goriška Brda, which are home to a number of the top 100 winemakers in the world. The picture-book landscape invites visitors to discover it on foot or by bike. We will treat ourselves to a delicious lunch, then greet Slovenian partners and explore new opportunities and future adventures in Slovenia. Later we will enjoy the local hospitality, learn all about Slovenian excellent wine and relax among the vineyards. In the evening we will return to Ljubljana.

SIW THEMATIC STUDY TOURS on Tuesday, 14th September:

1. Alpine Slovenia. My Way of Escape.

  • Maribor, the Styrian capital at the base of the green Pohorje Mountains
  • Rogla, beneficial Alpine climate and green forests


Maribor is located by the Drava River in the embrace of green Pohorje forests and picturesque wine-growing hills. Welcome to the home of the oldest grape wine in the world. Slovenia's second-largest city will impress you with green Pohorje mountains, excellent wine, and exquisite cuisine with a Michelin star awarded chef. In the afternoon we will head to the nearby Rogla sport resort and climatic spa in the heart of the Pohorje Hills with a beneficial Alpine climate. We will join Slovenian partners for afternoon meetings in green surroundings. And later we will enjoy the calmness and fresh air above the treetops, feel the therapeutic power of nature and get our daily dose of adrenaline - all in one place. In the evening we will return to Ljubljana.

2. Ljubljana and Central Slovenia. My Way of Taking it Easy.

  • Krvavec, the closest ski resort to the capital city and just a 10-minute drive from an international airport
  • Ljubljana, a city that combines the charm of a small capital and the confidence of big European cities


It's literally just a "hop" from the city to the Kamnik - Savinja Alps, where adventures on Krvavec, one of the best maintained and visited ski resorts in Slovenia, await. Morning with lots of fun in unforgettable nature. In the afternoon we will return to Ljubljana, first for a special culinary experience with a Michelin-awarded chef, and later we will meet with Slovenian partners to exchange new visions and ideas. In the end, we will admire the magnificent view from Ljubljana Castle, explore unique stories and legends, and maybe we will even get to meet Friderik, the castle prison rat. We will finish off with a glass of noble drop and a toast to new friends. The perfect way to end the day in Slovenia's capital.

3. Thermal Pannonian Slovenia. My Way of Absolute Serenity.

  • Dolenjske Toplicethe oldest health resort in Europe
  • Krškowhere chocolate and good thoughts flow in abundance 


First, we will head to Dolenjske Toplice, an attractive destination for guests wanting to relax in nature, enjoy the beneficial effects of thermal spring water, experience wellness services, and achieve better health. Did you know, that Balnea Hotel is one of the top seven wellness hotels in Europe? For lunch, we will head to Krško, a pleasant small town on the banks of the River Sava. We will also meet with Slovenian partners and enjoy the afternoon together in a good company of friendly locals and rich culture. In the evening we will return to Ljubljana.

4. The Mediterranean and Karst Slovenia. My Way of Boating Around. (Fully booked)

  • Piran & Izola, picturesque coastal towns, the scent of salt and authentic Istrian flavors
  • Lipica, a unique green estate is home to over 300 world-famous white Lipizzaner horses


Morning coffee with a view in Piran, the most romantic Slovenian coastal town. We will continue to Izola, a small seaside town, which grew on a former island. Even today Izola reflects the close bond its people have with the sea. We will learn about seashells in the Nature Park Strunjan, before we continue to Lipica, for a meeting with Slovenian partners and an afternoon full of activities and new adventures. The oldest European stud farm that has been breeding the same horses without interruption is a cultural and historical monument, which impresses visitors with its horses and its surprising landscape. In the evening we will return to Ljubljana.
