A new Michelin article about Lake Bled and tempting haute cuisine

The latest Michelin article features two restaurants at Lake Bled - Restaurant 1906 and Restaurant Julijana. They were both featured in the 2022 Michelin Guide.

Restaurant 1906

The sparkle and excitement of the Belle Époque period can still be felt at Lake Bled, even in the name of the Triglav Hotel's 1906 Restaurant ("1906", the year the hotel opened), which once hosted famous guests such as Archduke Franz Ferdinand. The hotel overlooking the lake was reopened in 2009 and today presents the perfect blend of old and new, which can also be seen in the dishes served at the restaurant. 

Julijana Restaurant

The Julijana Restaurant is located at the world-renowned Toplice Hotel. This elegant hotel boasts a terrace that juts out over the lake, which is just a footpath away. The cuisine here is regional, but also shaped by international influences from famous chefs such as Gordon Ramsay, Marc Meurin and Bobby Bräuer. One of the restaurant's mantras is to combine state-of-the-art techniques with regional flavours, so that local ingredients are interpreted from a modern and international culinary perspective.
