A great new achievement of Hiša Franko, chef Ana Roš & her team: Le Guide dell 'Espresso, the renowned Italian gastronomy guide awarded Hiša Franko with 5 toques. There are only 17 such restaurants in Italy (plus Hiša Franko). Three other Slovenian restaurants were included in the guide: Gostilna pri Lojzetu, Dam and Gostilna Mahorčič.
Hiša Franko, which has two Michelin stars, four Gault Millau toques and is ranked 21st on the list of world's best restaurants according to the 50 Best selection, has been awarded with another great acknowledgement. The Italian guide Le Guide dell'Espresso awarded the restaurant with five toques, which is a maximum that a restaurant can receive. Le Guide dell 'Espresso is considered of major importance for the Italian market, similar to the renowned Michelin Guide.
On her Instagram profile, Ana Roš wrote: "10 years ago, I would think this was a joke of my life. A Slovenian on the top of Italian gastronomy, someone said today. But food is one - no borders, just joy for food, wine and life. Thank you."
In addition to Hiša Franko, three other Slovenian restaurants, Gostilna pri Lojzetu (three toques), Dam Restaurant and Gostilna Mahorčič (one toque each).
