Slovenia is among the most romantic places to visit, says Forbes

Forbes has published an article about the destinations worth visiting on Valentine's Day, with Slovenia being among them. The list was put together by the European Best Destinations travel portal, which presents topics in the field of European culture and tourism. 

Although, according to Forbes, a romantic escape for Valentine’s Day due to the epidemic is not possible, this special day should still be considered as a great opportunity to plan a romantic getaway, for the times when travel will again be possible. 

The article talks about alternatives to traditional romantic destinations. In Slovenia, Špičnik with the heart-shaped road in the eastern part of Slovenia, has been highlighted. The whole country is described as a very beautiful one, as it "combines nature and cuisine and offers beautiful views". 

The article suggests to take a romantic road trip around Slovenia. Just a few minutes away from Maribor, according to Forbes, Špičnik, "one of the most romantic places in Europe", awaits you. Here, a heart-shaped road winds between hills dotted with vineyards and creates an amazing photo opportunity.
