Brda, the Vipava Valley and the Karst launch new tourism product

Three exceptional wine-growing districts, Brda, the Vipava Valley and the Karst, have joined hands and created a unique experience of three regions and their gastronomy. Now is the time for Rebula, Zelen and Teran to join hands.

The project represents the first step on the path of connecting three noble lands into one of the most beautiful tourist stories in Slovenia.

On the occassion of the official product launch ceremony, Simon Zajc, State Secretary at the Ministry of Economic Development and Technology, warmly welcomed the new chapter of the region's tourist story: “The joint offer of the Karst, Vipava Valley and Goriška Brda focuses on the beauties of nature, the vineyard character of the three regions and their gastronomy. These are their attributes that reflect originality, authenticity and intimacy. If we add Slovenia's proverbial commitment to high hygiene standards, ecology and sustainable management, the region has everything that a tourist is looking for and needs today. ”

The product includes free guided tours to the biggest sights in the area, accompanied with a glass of indigenous wines, Rebula, Zelen or Teran, in the Divača region also plum brandy. The aim is to allow guests to discover the historical, cultural and natural heritage of the area, which has, if we consider the size of the territory, the highest number of world's top wineries, the most Michelin stars chefs, the most gold and silver Slovenian green destinations and environmentally certified tourism service providers and the most sights that have earned the UNESCO heritage.

It is a story based on sustainable development, which follows the green guidelines of Slovenian tourism. A strong connection between green destinations focuses on learning about the indigenous features of the regions and encourages the dispersion of guests and, most importantly, weaves lasting ties between stakeholders, not only within destinations but throughout the region.
