Easyjet to launch Ljubljana-Berlin route
On 9 August, British low-cost airline Easyjet will launch Ljubljana-Berlin route, flying between the Slovenian and German capitals three times a week.

Despite the fact that Germany already is one of the largest markets for inbound tourists to Slovenia, the potential in the market is still very big. In the recent years, the numbers have grown constantly, with 10.9 % share among the foreign tourists, Germany ranked third in 2017 according to tourist arrivals. The launch of new flight routes is expected to boost the number of German tourists to Slovenia.
Slovenia has a number of opportunities to attract German tourists, who take holidays several times a year. Apart from spa resorts, active holidays and city break are very popular. In 2018, the promotion of Slovenia will focus on culture, which is another point of interest that hides a huge potential.
The launching of the new airline is also in accordance with the key objectives of the 2017–2021 Strategy for the Sustainable Growth of Slovenian Tourism, which includes improvement of flight connections and accessibility.
