The Slovenian capital, Ljubljana, has been a member of European Cities Marketing (ECM) since the establishment of the organisation 10 years ago. Prior to becoming a member of its Board in June 2015, Petra Stušek had been involved in the organisation for four years, during which time she participated in numerous expert meetings representing the role, winning attitude, and performance of Ljubljana as a sustainable destination. She also introduced sustainability to the organisation, including holding sustainability meetings of ECM in various European destinations.

The numerous awards which Ljubljana received for the sustainable development of its tourism, as well as Petra Stušek’s work in the organisation, led her to be elected to the position of the Vice-President of the Board for the Leisure Industry at this year’s ECM International Conference and General Assembly in Dubrovnik.

European Cities Marketing (ECM), an association for Tourist Boards, Convention Bureaus and City Marketing Organisations in Europe, is a non-profit global organisation improving the competitiveness and performance of the leading cities of Europe. It provides a platform for Leisure, the Meetings Industry, and City Marketing professionals to exchange knowledge and best practice and widen their network to build new business.
