Slovenia makes you green at ITB Berlin
Slovenia is the green heart of Europe and this year’s “Convention & Culture” partner country at ITB Berlin 2017. As part of the presentations and events at ITB Berlin 2017, our country is represented by the slogan Slovenia Makes You Green, and is the most extensive thus far, both in terms of the number of participating representatives of the Slovenian tourism industry and the programme and activities. The presentation prepared by the Slovenian Tourist Board will emphasise the range of spa, cultural, and convention tourism and tourism’s focus on sustainable development.
This year, Slovenia was able to upgrade its traditional participation in a special achievement – a partnership with the trade show. As the “Convention & Culture Partner ITB Berlin 2017,” it has gained greater exposure, getting the chance to increase Slovenia’s recognisability as an attractive green, active, and healthy destination, which has focused the development of its tourism business on sustainability.
The central topic of the presentation of Slovenian tourism will be healthy waters and culture, while convention tourism and our achievements in the sustainable development of tourism will also be highlighted. The main feature of the Slovenian tourist industry at ITB Berlin 2017 will be a booth in Hall 17. The booth will mainly show the spa and spa wellness ranges, as well as what Slovenia offers in historical towns and cities, with a special emphasis on Plečnik’s Ljubljana, the European Green Capital 2016. Slovenia Makes You Green is a slogan that will be used in Hall 4.1 to present our green destinations and providers. Ljubljana Tourism will also set up a special culture lounge in Hall 16, devoted to Plečnik’s Ljubljana.
