Magical autumn at the Slovenian coast makes it possible for visitors to enjoy the natural landscape, which is already changing colour. Lovers of cycling, riding and walking can enjoy hiking and biking trips by the sea or in the hinterland of Slovenian Istria. Experience the Slovenian coast at traditional and new autumn events.

The first autumn days in Koper are perfect for all lovers of cycling and walking. Koper and its scenic hinterland are ideal for autumn trips in nature. Explore the land of Refosco by bike or ride along the popular path of health and friendship – Parenzana. This is a former railway that connected Trieste (Italy) and Poreč (Croatia). If you prefer hiking, we recommend a walk along the path of Hrastovlje heritage, the path of marvellous views of Istria and other thematic trails.

In Izola, visit the Bike Park with trails at various difficulty levels. They have an organised mini-pumptrack for younger and skill-track for older bikers. The Park is open whenever the weather is good and it is free of charge. Don’t miss the Holiday of the Izola Miracle on 23rd October. For 448 years the locals have celebrated the memory of 23rd October 1380, when the town defended against the Genoa fleet.
