The StormIt competition `Give me three days of GREEN sLOVEnia` was held this year for the first time as part of the Challenge:Future global student competition. The competition, which ran from 15 March to 6 May 2010, is based on the principles of `open innovation` and was one of the first competitions of this type anywhere in the world in the field of tourism promotion.

The competition organisers – the Slovenian Tourist Board and the Bank of Tourism Potentials of Slovenia – are very pleased with the results of the competition, which achieved its objectives and at the same time represents an excellent starting point for further competitions of this type for young people from all over the world as part of the Challenge:Future initiative. The positive response is also backed up by figures, with 5,779 people from 97 countries visiting the website of the StormIt competition Give me three days of GREEN sLOVEnia while the competition was on. These figures also indicate that competitions of this kind are an attractive way of promoting Slovenia as a tourist destination.
