The Krvavec Summer Park: One ticket – ten adventures

In the winter time, Krvavec is an exceptional ski area in close proximity to Slovenia’s capital. Come summer, it invites hikers and bikers to explore its numerous and scenic trails. This summer, take advantage the new Krvavec Summer Park’s offer of adventure, bringing diverse fun to active individuals and families. The Krvavec Summer Park unites ten diverse activities with the common denominator being fun, socialising, exercising and testing one’s limits.

This July, the Krvavec Recreational Centre, which is part of the Unitur Group that not only manages Krvavec but also a summer-winter recreational centre (Rogla) and one of Slovenia’s fifteen natural spas (Zreče Thermal Spa), introduced a new Summer Park that represents an new fun destination as a popular recreational spot for the people of Ljubljana and also for visitors of Slovenia’s capital. Few capitals can boast such immediate and fast access to nature and the option to try numerous adventures and sports activities so close to home.

A wide array of activities consists of a climbing adventure park, a cycling park, mountain maps, mountain scooters, a climbing tower, a somersault trampoline, an archery range, a range for mobility and skills, frisbee golf and a tube descent range. All activities are available with the purchase of a single ticket that enables the use of all products offered in the Summer Park, one ascent and descent via the cable car and during the Park’s operating hours, an unlimited number of lifts via the Tiha dolina four-person chairlift. The park is intended for families with children, youths and individual sports enthusiasts.

Its location and height above sea level makes Krvavec an easily accessible retreat from the summer heat of the cities – especially from Ljubljana, providing mild temperatures and fresh Alpine air. In addition to the beautiful countryside and the unique atmosphere of Alpine pastures, Krvavec affords wonderful views of the Ljubljana valley and the Kamnik-Savinja Alps. The varied terrain of the ski resort turns into an oasis for hikers and mountain-bikers in summer, while paragliders add additional flair. Krvavec is also well-known for its numerous herbal and other medicinal plants, which colour the meadows in summer. A pleasant hike to Plečnik’s chapel, which was built in 1929, is always a popular option.
