In September 13 percent more arrivals

Compared to September 2010, in September 2011 13% more tourist arrivals and 10% more overnight stays were registered in tourist accommodations. In the same comparison, there were 17% more arrivals of domestic tourists, who created 7% more overnight stays, and 12% more arrivals of foreign tourists, who created 11% more overnight stays. In the first nine months of 2011 the number of tourist arrivals rose by 8% and the number of overnight stays rose by 6% compared to the same period of 2010.

In September 13 percent more arrivals

Compared to September 2010, in September 2011 13% more tourist arrivals and 10% more overnight stays were registered in tourist accommodations. In the same comparison, there were 17% more arrivals of domestic tourists, who created 7% more overnight stays, and 12% more arrivals of foreign tourists, who created 11% more overnight stays. In the first nine months of 2011 the number of tourist arrivals rose by 8% and the number of overnight stays rose by 6% compared to the same period of 2010.

In September 2011, the most tourist arrivals in mountain resorts and the most overnight stays in health (spa) resorts

Compared to September 2010, in September 2011 the highest increase in the number of tourist arrivals was recorded in seaside resorts (23%), along with the highest increase in the number of overnight stays in mountain resorts (19%). In the same comparison, the number of tourist arrivals in mountain resorts increased by 19%, representing the highest share of all tourist arrivals (27%) in September 2011. The highest share of overnight stays in September 2011 (28%) was recorded in health (spa) resorts; however, their number remained at the same annual level. At the annual level, the number of tourist arrivals and overnight stays in Ljubljana increased by 9%.

Almost half of foreign overnight stays in Slovenia in September created by Germans, Austrians, Italians and British

Overnight stays of foreign tourists represented 65% of all overnight stays in September 2011. Almost half of those were contributed by tourists from Germany (17%), Austria (13%), Italy (12%) and the United Kingdom (6%).

Compared to September 2010, in September 2011, tourists from Germany created 17% more overnight stays, tourists from Austria, 11% more overnight stays and tourists from the United Kingdom, 2% more overnight stays. At the annual level, the number of overnight stays of tourists from Italy decreased by 4%.

In September 2011, high annual increase in the number of overnight stays in mountain huts

In September 2011, 65% of all overnight stays were registered in hotels, followed by camping sites (13% of all overnight stays), holiday dwellings and company vacation facilities and vacation facilities for youth (each 5% of all overnight stays) and private accommodations – rented rooms, dwellings (3% of all overnight stays). Compared to September 2010, in September 2011, the number of overnight stays increased the most in mountain huts (by 53%), in youth hostels (by 41%), in overnight accommodations (by 31%), at camping sites (by 27%), in private accommodations – rented rooms, dwellings (by 16%) and in hotels (by 6%).

From January to September of 2011, 8% more tourist arrivals were registered in tourist accommodations compared to the same period of the previous year. In the same comparison, the number of overnight stays increased by 6%.

In the first three quarters of 2011 the number of arrivals of domestic tourists increased by 4% over the same period of the previous year and the number of their overnight stays, by 1%. There were 10% more foreign arrivals and overnight stays than in the same period of the previous year.
