The Avsenik Brothers are considered to be the founders of the new folk-pop genre in Central Europe and their quality in this area is undisputable. Some of their biggest successes include Na Golici (1955) – their most famous song and one that is the most broadcasted song in the world, Na mostu, Tam kjer murke cveto (1957), Slovenija, od kod lepote tvoje (1974), and Samo enkrat imaš petdeset let (1981).

Slovenia has several successful musical stories; however, only some musicians manage to survive many generations and cross borders with their music. Avsenik and his music definitely succeeded! He has brought Slovenia to various parts of the world, while also bringing many lovers of Slovenia and its folk-pop music to the country on the sunny side of the Alps, to its Slovenian roots.

Recently, the leading Slovenian vocal group, Perpetuum Jazzile, who are also world-recognized, presented their own jazz version of the eternal Avsenik hit `Slovenija, od kod lepote tvoje`. For this song, they have also put out a video that shows the beauties of Slovenia – in this way, they hope to bring Slovenia closer to numerous fans all over the world.
