Bled is definitely one of the most famous sights of Slovenia. The tourist pearl of world recognition on the edge of Triglav National Park was also among the nominees for the seven new wonders of the world. The island in the midst of the lake is a unique symbol of Bled, while the picturesque Bled Castle rises above on a cliff – with a museum, castle printing facility in the watchtower, attractions in the castle wine cellar, herb gallery, knight`s hall, etc. At the same time, it is a venue for special events. You should take some time to ring the famous bell of wishes on the island that will fulfil your wish, then climb up to the castle for extraordinary views of this Alpine pearl.

Only 9 km away from the Postojna Cave, the most visited tourist cave in the world, the Predjama Castle offers a totally different experience. A picturesque, mighty, provocative, mysterious and unconquerable castle stands on a 123 meter wall, ruling over the area for more than 700 years. The most famous castle inhabitant was definitely the knight Erazem Predjamski, who stood up against the emperor`s will in the 15th century. Numerous legends speak of him; on the one hand, they depict him as a passionate and noble knight, while on the other, as a brigandish knight who, in the end, died on the toilet. Become familiar with his story and visit the underground pits.

The centre of Slovenia holds one of the most visited attractions of Slovenia: the Ljubljana Castle, which rules over the capital with its lookout tower, while the lazy Ljubljanica River winds around it. All this gives Ljubljana a fairytale image. The mighty medieval fortress, the symbol of the Slovenian capital, the idyllic foot path only a couple of minutes away from the throb of the city, attractive culinary treats, a stage for numerous events throughout the year – a real cultural and social centre!
