Everybody who experiences the Soča remembers forever the colour and energy of one of the most beautiful rivers in Europe. The Emerald Land in north-eastern Slovenia begins where the Soča springs up into the light of the day from a karst well in the middle of the Julian Alps. The lively mountain river races down to a large emerald playground with the most popular pools and rapids from Bovec to Kobarid and Tolmin. Rafting, kayaking and canyoning are at home in this area, making it the heart of sporting activities in the Soča Valley.
