The cities of Maribor and Novi Sad, which have signed an agreement on active cooperation in the field of tourism.
Slovenia and Serbia have acknowledged their common interest in developing cooperative practices in tourism on several occasions, the latest being at the Belgrade Tourism Fair where Slovenia was the partner country. One example of good practice is the cities of Maribor and Novi Sad, which have signed an agreement on active cooperation in the field of tourism.
At the signing of the letter of cooperation, Janja Viher, the Director of the Maribor-Pohorje Tourist Board, and Branislav Knežević, Director of the Novi Sad Tourist Organisation, declared that both cities have great potential for developing tourism in their respective countries.
This cooperation addresses the need for better regional integration with an emphasis on tourism, and represents a collaboration between the cities of Maribor and Novi Sad which aims to further promote the development of tourism in both municipalities, through the implementation of joint projects and by supporting the promotion of events, festivals and other tourism products.
