Expedia travel guides to Slovenia

In September 2015 the Expedia film crew visited Slovenia to collect information and impressions of a selection of Slovenian destinations and create the latest travel guides to Slovenia. Expedia, which is one of the world´s leading online travel companies, with a portfolio that includes about a dozen of the most notable travel brands of the planet, now features travel guides to the Slovenian Istria with the coastal towns of Izola, Piran and Portorož, and the capital of Ljubljana, Green Capital of Europe 2016, on its site.

Expedia invites its users to Slovenia`s Mediterranean Coast, offering holiday packages and highlighting the attractions of the coast towns. Piran is presented with its picturesque postcard-like architecture. It is the narrow medieval streets with their Venetian-style façades that make the town, which developed through its salt trade, so special. The Expedia route continues to Portorož, the famous Slovenian seaside resort of relaxing spas, exciting atmosphere and ancient sea, which is said to be more than 42,000 years old. Enjoy the relaxing spa treatments at the special saltpans spa, Lepa Vida, and admire the sunset. The town of Izola comes with an invitation to taste its delicious seafood from a restaurant in the Izola Marina, while Koper is presented with its typical heritage architectural gems, such as Koper Cathedral in Tito Square. Expedia also presents Ljubljana as Slovenia’s intriguing capital city, showing its architectural beauty and the abundant greenery in the parks and gardens all over the city, which is the European Green Capital 2016.
