As air traffic switches to the summer schedule, the international Ljubljana Jože Pučnik Airport will offer its passengers flights to 29 destinations on 220 scheduled weekly flights. While the number of scheduled flights is increasing compared to last year, the airport expects the number of charter flights to remain roughly the same this summer, with seven carriers flying to 21 destinations.

The timetable for summer 2016 offers more scheduled flights from the international Ljubljana Jože Pučnik Airport than the timetable of the previous year. Passengers can choose from different direct flights to 22 countries and connecting flights to destinations around the world via the major European hubs. Adria Airways is directly flying to 19 destinations in the summer season.

Slovenia’s biggest international airport is proud of its new and upgraded routes:

* Adria Airways is launching a new service to Cologne, Germany on 26th April, with three flight connections a week.

* A new scheduled airline is coming to Ljubljana Jože Pučnik Airport on 15th June. Greece’s Aegean Airlines will fly twice a week to Athens.

* LOT Polish Airlines has been flying six times a week between Ljubljana and Warsaw since March 2016.

* Finnair will connect Ljubljana Jože Pučnik Airport with Helsinki five times a week.

* Turkish Airlines, which is celebrating its 10th anniversary of flights to Slovenia, will upgrade its connection with Istanbul from 10 flights a week to 2 flights a day.

* Passengers can fly from Ljubljana to Belgrade with Air Serbia 14 times a week.

* Air France has a direct flight between Paris and Ljubljana on a daily basis.

* Montenegro Airlines will operate six flights a week between Ljubljana and Podgorica.

The international Ljubljana Jože Pučnik Airport is planning investments and renovations to the passenger experience at the airport by 2018. The first work is already in progress in the area of security control, enabling passengers to have easier and faster security checks, and the check-in area is also being expanded.
