The historical building was built as a part of the Austrian Southern Railway for operating train services between Vienna with Trieste. Travel in time to the days of the Austro-Hungarian Empire. Take a ride on a steam train along the picturesque Bohinj railway line Transalpinia, which is over a hundred years old and served as the most important connection between Trieste, Vienna and Prague. A special adventure from Jesenice to Nova Gorica in western Slovenia is the 6-kilometre-long Bohinj tunnel and crossing of the Solkan bridge – the bridge with the longest stone arch in the world and spans over the emerald Soča River, which flows from the Alps to the Adriatic Sea.
