Slovenia highly praised in the United States

La Carmina, the American TV host, and Troy Petenbrink, a connoisseur of Slovenia, visited our green, active and healthy country, and they both loved it!

La Carmina is a Canadian style and travel blogger, an international TV host, and a well-recognised travel journalist. In a blog called "Why Travel to Slovenia? The Mediterranean beaches of Portorož, Slovenian food, Fonda sustainable fish!" she wrote about Slovenian food, cities, people and hotels on the Slovenian Coast (Primorska region). And she loved everything! Together with her team she experienced Slovenia as a travel destination full of surprises with excellent local cuisine and beautiful seaside towns. Troy Petenbrink, also known as The Gay Traveller, visited Slovenia in the framework of the event "PinkWeek 2016" that was held in May. In an article with the title "Why Melania Trump`s birthplace, Slovenia, should be on your bucket list" he described our green, active and healthy country as a fairytale land where you can expect to meet Shrek around the next corner. Another Slovenian lady who is becoming more and more popular in the United States is the world-renowned chef Ana Roš, one of the stars of the second season of Netflix’ Chef’s Table. Ana is the main reason why foodies from all over the world are coming to the Soča Valley where Ana creates wonderful dishes in her restaurant, Hiša Franko.
