Two weeks to go until the I Feel Slovenia Night 2023 in Dallas

Two weeks to go until the I Feel Slovenia Night 2023 in Dallas

The Ministry of the Economy, Tourism and Sport, together with SPIRIT Slovenia, the Slovenian Tourist Board (STB) and other partners, is once again organising an economic delegation, a business and investment conference and a tourism workshop in Dallas, named Texas Feels Slovenia. The two-day event will include a number of business-promotional activities linking business, science, tourism and sport.

On the evening of 7 April, 'I feel Slovenia Night' will take place during the NBA basketball game between the Dallas Mavericks and the Chicago Bulls. The event, organized by the STB, together with the Slovenian Government Communications Office (UKOM) and Ljubljana Tourism, will highlight Slovenia through promotional activities on and near the court, during halftime and in the promotional and exhibition area at the American Airlines Center. The world-famous Slovenian acrobats Dunking Devils will also perform at the game and the Ljubljana mascot, the Dragon, will join them.

In order to increase the visibility of Slovenia in the US market, the Slovenian Tourist Board has already launched a number of activities to promote the event. Last week, the I Feel Slovenia Night in Dallas landing page was launched. It invites visitors to watch the event and gives a broader insight into the story of Slovenia. Visitors can read about Luka Dončić, the ambassador of Slovenian tourism, Ljubljana as the city of Dončić's childhood, and Slovenia as a country of sports enthusiasts. You can also take part in a prize quiz and listen to Feel Slovenia the podcast featuring world-renowned basketball reporter, Tim MacMahon.

In the podcast, Tim Macmahon discusses the role of Luka Dončić in promoting Slovenia as a tourist destination. He visited Slovenia last September and was impressed by its diversity. He also highlighted the importance of I Feel Slovenia Night: "I would love to see I Feel Slovenia Night in Dallas become a regular thing, I think Luka is a reason for people in Dallas and NBA fans throughout the world to have a curiosity about Slovenia."
