Slovenia is the homeland of inspiring women, who have changed the course of history. International Women's Day is the perfect opportunity to delve into their stories.

A number of poems praises women, including a part of Zdravljica (A Toast), the poem written by the greatest Slovenian poet, France Prešeren - part of the very same poem later on became the national Slovenian anthem. Today, we celebrate International Women's Day, to remember of the social, economic, cultural, and political achievements of women.
