BMW IBU World Cup Biathlon 2023 Pokljuka

From 5 to 8 January 2023, Pokljuka traditionally hosts the IBU World Cup Biathlon. Over the last few decades, biathlon has experienced major growth in spectatorship and popularity. Pokljuka has hosted World Cup and European Cup biathlon competitions for three decades and is considered one of the four largest international winter sports events in Slovenia.

The IBU World Cup Biathlon, which takes place from 5 to 8 January, will be attended by 282 competitors from 31 countries. Once again, a great deal of interest is expected in the televised coverage, as biathlon has experienced major growth in spectatorship and popularity. Over 60 million viewers from all over the world are expected to watch the competition on TV, with the highest share coming from Germany, Austria, Italy, Poland, the Czech Republic, Slovakia, France, Norway, Finland, Sweden and Switzerland.
