The Orange Wine Festival 2022

The Orange Wine Festival is a one-day festival showcasing a number of sustainably produced white macerated (orange) wines. Over the past decade the festival, which takes place in Izola, has generated the development and a growing interest in orange wines. Along with Georgia, the ancestral home of wines, the northern Adriatic is one of the most important areas of orange wine production. At the festival, more than 150 orange wines will be presented by winemakers in person. The festival also outlines the trends in production in this niche of winemaking, that are both an important indicator for sustainable production as well as for attracting new wine lovers who are committed to sustainable wines.

Yesterday, the world premiere of Call it Amber, most comprehensive documentary about orange wines took place in Koper. The documentary takes you on a journey through time and takes a close look at the origins of amber wine
