Don't miss: The I FEEL SLOVENIA Night basketball game in Dallas

In March and April, Slovenian Tourist Board (STB)in partnership with several Slovenian institutions and the Dallas Mavericks Club will organize a series of activities for promoting Slovenia. Promotional activities begin on Saturday, March 5, at the NBA game under the slogan I FEEL SLOVENIA Night.

With the growing interest of American tourists in traveling to Europe and the gradual easing of measures in the field of overseas travel, the STB is once again intensifying activities to promote Slovenia and its tourist offer in the USA. 

Thanks to exceptional success of our young sports ace, Luka Dončićthe Dallas Mavericks have prepared a special promotional offer for Slovenia already in 2020, which is why several Slovenian institutions (in addition to the Slovenian Tourist Board also SPIRIT Slovenia, Ministry of Economic Development and Technology, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Government Communication Office and Visit Ljubljana) entered into a partnership with them, with the aim of strengthening and increasing the visibility of Slovenia and the national I feel Slovenia brand. 

The partnership provided opportunities for increasing the visibility of the national I feel Slovenia brand at domestic NBA games in the 2019/2020 season and in domestic NBA games in the 2020/2021 season and on the digital channels of the Dallas Mavericks. A business conference and I feel Slovenia night was planned for 11 March 2020, but was later postponed due to the COVID-19 epidemic. 

The presentation of Slovenia will take place at the I FEEL SLOVENIA Night game on Saturday, March 5, at the American Airlines Center Hall in Dallas. The Dallas Mavericks and the Sacramento Kings of California will compete. The game will be broadcast on TV stations in the states of Texas and California at 4 pm (11 pm Slovenian time). Numerous promotional activities will be carried out during the match: 

  • The I feel Slovenia brand will be highlighted when announcing the game and when the event will be communicated through all Dallas Mavericks channels. 
  • The I feel Slovenia brand will be displayed on LED screens on the construction of the basketball hoop and on LED screens next to the basketball court. 
  • In partnership with Visit Ljubljana and SPIRIT Slovenia a promotional stand will be set up in the American Airlines Arena, where the beauties of Slovenia will be brought closer to the interested public. 
  • To really feel Slovenia, attractive promotional materials and I FEEL SLOVENIA fan props will be available to the visitors.

There will also be a number of promotional activities during the game. During the halftime, spectators will be able to watch the performance of world-famous acrobats from Slovenia, Dunking Devils, get to know Slovenia in a quiz and cheer for Luka Dončić's team in the Slovenian green hall. Promotional activities will continue in April with the "Texas Feels Slovenia" business conference, which was originally scheduled for March 2020 and also postponed due to the pandemic. The business conference will take place in Dallas on April 8 and offer an opportunity for representatives of the Slovenian economy to meet with American companies. In addition, a Slovenian tourism workshop will be held to promote Slovenian tourism.
