We are really proud that Slovenia has been featured No.1 holiday destination to visit in 2021 in the recent Conde Nast Traveller article. The article pretty much sums up everything you need to know about Slovenia: it describes the country as an exciting food and wine destination with breathtaking nature, emerald green rivers, numerous lakes, mountains and fresh air. They furthermore praise sustainable approach to the gastronomy, the fact that the first edition of the Michelin guide for Slovenia was released earlier this year and that the country will be European Region of Gastronomy in 2021

"Slovenia is clearly becoming a global green boutique destination for the most demanding visitors looking for diverse, active, green and five-star experiences. Today’s ranking of Slovenia at the top of yet another reference scale is further proof that we are on the right track and that the future is on our side," said Minister of Economic Development and Technology Zdravko Počivalšek.
