The re-opening of the Postojna Cave and the Predjama Castle

The Postojna Cave and the Predjama Castle have reopened and await you with a whole lot of new stories to tell. Including the one of the baby dragons, which is also written about in the Guardian.

The re-opening of the Postojna Cave and the Predjama Castle

After the longest closedown in the 200-year-history of Postojna Cave, the legendary cave trains started operating again on 3 June and a few days earlier, on June 1, Predjama Castle opened.

On the occassion of the grand opening of Postojna Cave, two investments worth a total of 5 million were presented: the renovated Promenade of Fame and Part B of the cult Hotel Jama. Symbolically, linden trees in the 150-year-old linden tree avenue along the Promenade of Fame were planted.

We have already written about "the baby dragons" in Postojna Cave and how unique the whole story of them is. But do take time to read the Guardian's article on this phenomenon, which will definitely convince you that Postojna cave is definitely worth (re)visiting, since the world’s first public exhibit of juvenile olms, mysterious underground amphibians, will open on 11 June.
