Virtuoso nominates the Slovenian Tourist Board for the Tourism Board of the Year

The Slovenian Tourist Board has recently been nominated for the 2018 Virtuoso Award: Tourism Board of the year, next to Mexico Tourism Board, Switzerland Tourism, Tourism Australia and Tourism New Zealand. The winner will be announced on August 13 in Las Vegas.

Maja Pak, MSc, Director General of the Slovenian Tourist Board (STB)was thrilled by the news:“We are extremely pleased to hear that Virtuoso has nominated the Slovenian Tourist Board for the tourism board of the year. This proves yet once again that Slovenia, as a sustainability oriented country for 5-star experiences, not only follows global trends in tourism, but also creates them. This has repeatedly been recognized by the most influential associations and media in the world and we are proud that Virtuoso has also acknowledged this, by nominating us for the Tourism Board of the Year.”

Virtuoso has noticed Slovenia’s remarkable beauties already before. In December 2017, Slovenia has been placed on the cover of the Virtuoso Traveller magazine and named “the rising star of Europe”, while Virtuoso Life has ranked it among 18 top destinations of 2018.

Virtuoso is an association that works with 1,700 providers. As a global travel association with more than 15,200 travel agents, consultants and providers, it makes an annual turnover of more than $ 21 billion. Their clients have an average net worth of $ 568,000.

The winner will be revealed in Las Vegas, USA, at the Destination Showcase Dinner on Monday, August 13.
