FOOD for future's GOOD
This is the title of this year's European Food Summit, a culinary event that brings top names from the culinary world to Ljubljana every winter. The event, this year held between 28 and 30 March, is accompanied by a programme of prestigious culinary events in Ljubljana and the surrounding region.
The European Food Summit is an event that aims to spread awareness of the global impact of food. It unites great minds from around the world who understand the meaning and power of food in its entirety. Through their stories, scientists, researchers, top chefs, poets, writers, journalists and influential individuals teach, inspire and encourage us to think forward and work toward a better and more sustainable future.
The summit will begin with a special edition of the Open Kitchen event held in the beautiful Križanke lobby and the nearby French Revolution Square. The day will continue with the Gourmet Ljubljana Crawl in the city's museums and galleries and end with the Experiential Dinner, where you will experience the unexperienced, taste the untasted and learn about the unknown. On Sunday, invited guests will be able to take a culinary trip across Slovenia, while the evening is reserved for the Ljubljana Collaboration Dinner. On Monday, the European Food Summit will end with a full-day symposium.
