Slovenia at Snow Show Tourism Fair in Budapest, Hungary

Slovenia and its tourism were presented at the 2008 Snow Show tourism fair in Budapest between 6 and 9 November.

With its presentation at the stand, the common theme of which was the I FEEL SLOVENIA brand, Slovenia addressed trade professionals as well as the general public, primarily prospective tourists from Hungary looking for active holidays at ski centres or different things to do in the winter months. At the Slovenian stand, where a presentation of Slovenian ski centres was organised by the Association Ropeways of Slovenia and a special emphasis placed on the Kope ski centre, destinations Bled, Bohinj and Maribor and the Terme Topolšica health resort, we have recorded among visitors to the show a growing interest in holidays combined with wellness programmes at Slovenian ski centres, in holidays at well-known Slovenian destinations in the winter months and in active holidays for next summer.
Before, during and after the Budapest Snow Show, the STB – in partnership with the Association Ropeways of Slovenia – has successfully run the Slovenian winter tourism advertising campaign on the Hungarian market. The campaign placed a special focus on the Active Slovenia ski card, a tourism project of many mountain centres which enables visitors to buy one-day ski tickets at a 20% discount, relax and have fun in wellness centres, buy reduced tickets to cultural events, museums, and so forth. The card also provides additional benefits with the purchase of an all-in-one six-day ski pass at Slovenian ski centres, with which one can ski in a minimum of six Slovenian ski resorts over a period of six consecutive days.
