The Matk farm is located in a small, hidden valley of Matkov kot, in the heart of the Savinjske Alps, at the altitude of 1165 meters. Its owners respect traditional farming methods since they are aware that it is the only way to preserve the beautiful landscape they have inherited from their ancestors.
Your hostess Mici, is an excellent cook who continues to preserve rich local culinary tradition. As a good connoisseur of herbs, she uses them skillfully in all her delicious dishes as well as in brandies and teas that are especially appreciated in the colder months of the year, but also when returning from a hike in the nearby mountains.
A holiday on the farm is a special experience for families with children. Kids can spend every day in the company of various animals: cats, a dog, a donkey, sheep, and in direct contact with nature. 
In the immediate vicinity of the farm you will find many nice places to enjoy a walk. The area is also ideal for those who like mountain biking and hunting. Sledding on snow-covered slopes is great fun in winter… Of course, there are many more attractions nearby that you will discover during your stay on the farm.
