The culinary delights of your hosts will enchant you. You will be pampered with bograč (a kind of goulash with potato and pasta), bujta repa (a turnip dish), crackling spread, Prekmurska gibanica, sauerkraut, žganci or dried meat products, while your hosts take care to ensure that no vegetarian leaves the table hungry. As good food obviously should be accompanied by good wine, Franc the master will be happy to bring a carafe or two to your table. Anyone that is interested to do so may try their hand at a little agricultural work, such as unhusking corn or grape-picking. The farmer’s wife will be delighted to unveil some of the hidden secrets of her cuisine. The farm is an ideal base for lovers of aqua fun, as there are various thermal centres in the surrounding area, including Terme 3000, Terme Radenci and Terme Lendava. For those keen on religious art, visits to the church of Sv Nikolaj, the Rotunda in Selo or the church in Bogojina, which is a work by famous Slovenian architect Plečnik, are a must.
