Address: Škofja Loka - Puštal
On a walk along the theme trail trough Puštal you will hear stories that will reveal how "Puštuci" - the inhabitants of Puštal lived in old times. You will find out how the devil, combs and frogs are connected with Puštal, and many other interesting things.
The path will first take you from Town Square in
Škofja Loka along the Kopališka street through Karlovec, where you can admire the exterior of preserved old houses (Pepe’s house, Firbar’s house). The marked path then turns left towards the Sora river and leads across
Devil’s Footbridge, past the former swimming area to
Nace’s House. You return along the same path to the footbridge and then continue your walk to
Puštal Castle. From the castle, follow the marks for Hribec, where the path leads approximately 100 m by the main road, so be careful. From the main road turn right and at the sign of the Stations of the Cross ascend to the
church of St. Cross in Hribec, which is raised above the settlement. From there you will have a magnificent panoramic view of Škofja Loka and its surroundings. The path finishes at Towns Square in Škofja Loka.
The path was cretated under the LEADER project Paths interwoven with Stories, financed by the European Agricultural Fund for Rural Development, The Republic of Slovenia and the municipalities of GorenjaVas – Poljane, Škofja Loka, Železniki and Žiri.
