On the bottom of the sinkhole south of Prezid (Zaplana) near Logatec, is the high marsh formed by the overgrowing of a small, shallow lake. Alongside sphagnum peat you can also find typical representatives of the high marsh: round-leaf sundew (Drosera rotundifolia), hare’s-tail cottongrass (Eriophorum vaginatum) and the common or northern cranberry (Oxycoccus palustris). The peat bog is slightly elevated in the middle. The marsh does not have a visible inflow or outflow of water; its altitude is 491 metres.
