Four kilometers from Maribor, the Valentan Tourist Farm and Wine Cellar lies in a valley surrounded by vineyards and orchards.
 

The five-member family that lives on the farm is engaged in winegrowing and winemaking, which means that you won’t go away thirsty. They offer open and bottled wines, and in winter they serve them with homemade pork and sausage and in other seasons they bring to the table various dried meat products, meat from the lard barrel, and homemade bread. Your meal is naturally rounded off with štajerska gibanica, the traditional layered pastry of the region.

They also raise Haflinger riding horses on the farm, which draws skilled riders—riding equipment can be rented on the farm—as well as lovers of these magnificent animals. The pilgrimage church on Mount Gorca a kilometer and a half away is a pleasant excursion destination.
