Vrsnik is a wide valley between the summits of:
- Črni Vrh,
- Kaluder,
- Kuk,
- Travnik,
- Plaski Vogel and
- the Tičarica mountain ridge;

Above it rise the alpine pastures of:
- Za Črnim Vrhom
- Za Skalo.

The Vrsnik Stream with several smaller streams flows in the valley.

In the village Soča the road turns off to the valley at Mala Soška Korita (Little Soča Troughs).

The road leads along the valley to an elevation of 1600 m under the summit of Plaski Vogel.
